Dr. Michael Ibrahim BVSc (Hons)
Dr. Michael Ibrahim has been a veterinarian since 1984 and went into partnership with Dr. Patrick Brady in 1989. Dr. Michael Ibrahim is a practice owner and is a senior partner who mainly works at St.Albans Veterinary Clinic but works at West Footscray occasionally. He is mainly in charge of the clinic finances and managerial services. He has strong interest in customer service, striving to provide the best practice and quality service. He has a strong interest in animal behaviour and likes to educate clients in the best training techniques for their loved pets. He is popular amongst clients and spends quality time with their pets. He has a pet named Coal who is a Standard Poodle.
Dr. Patrick Brady
BVSc
Dr. Patrick Brady has
been a veterinarian since 1972. He started West Footscray Veterinary Clinic
and is one of the practice owners. He
enjoys surgery and he is all about providing the best service to all his clients.
He has a keen interest in orthopaedics and many clients are referred to him
from other clinics for his great surgery skills. His interests outside of veterinary medicine include golf and poetry. He is also a keen, long suffering supporter of the Western Bulldogs Football Club.Â
Dr. Jason Buttigieg
BVSc
Dr. Jason Buttigieg
is a partner and has been working as a veterinarian since 2000. He has
excellent skills in small animal surgery, ultrasonography, and has a strong
interest in reptile medicine and surgery. He is the most experienced in the IT
operations of the clinic. In 2011 he introduced a new computer system, to both
clinics and is in charge of the maintenance and workings of the system. He is
great with clients and has a very understanding nature to help them and their
pets.
Dr. Kim Cao BVSc
(Hons)
Dr Kim Cao is a partner and graduated in 1997 at The University of Melbourne. She has
worked a total of six years as a veterinarian overseas in Hong Kong and Singapore specialising in
small animal medicine and surgery. With her experience she provides the clinic
with excellent surgery skills and hospital case management and is confident to
try new surgical techniques for patients. She also provides acupuncture for
pets. She has an International Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture. Kim also enjoys treating pocket pets such as rabbits and guinea pigs.
Dr. Claire Jenkins BVSc (Hons) MANZCVSc
Dr. Claire Jenkins graduated from the
University Of Queensland in 2004. She completed her Post Graduate
Membership in Small Feline and Canine Internal Medicine in 2010. She began
practicing at West Footscray Veterinary Clinic for 12 months until the travel
bug bit her. She then did locum work around London for 18 months practicing in
small animal clinics. Upon returning to Australia Claire practiced in Double
Bay, NSW and in Greensborough, VIC. She recently joined back to the West
Footscray and St.Albans Veterinary team. Her professional interests are small
animal medicine with a passion for dermatology. She gives great veterinary
service and finds reuniting a recuperating pet with their family very
rewarding.
Dr. Jason Arlaud
BSc., M.Rep.Sci, BVSc
Dr Jason Arlaud has
been a veterinarian since 2005 and graduated from the University of Queensland
in 2005. Through his veterinary studies he worked as a Veterinary Nurse at an
emergency veterinary hospital. He is great with rabbits and pocket pet medicine. He has special interests in reproduction and analgesia. Jason is
great with clients. He thoroughly explains veterinary treatment and options to clients and their beloved pets. He enjoys
researching current medical and surgical methods for all his patients.Â
Dr. Kim Lam BSc, BVMS (Hons), CMAVA
Dr. Kim Lam graduated
from Murdoch University (WA) in 2009 and began her veterinary career with an
oncology internship at Perth Veterinary Specialists. Upon completion, Kim returned to her home in the western suburbs of Melbourne to immerse herself in the opportunity to work with a diverse range of animals and people at the St Albans and West Footscray Vet Clinics. Kim loves it all - in particular, internal medicine, surgery and dermatology. She is a Chartered Member of the Australian Veterinary Association, awarded for outstanding efforts in continuing education. As a vet, patient comfort and recovery is her  utmost priority. Kim's current focus is studying for the Small Animal Internal Medicine Post Graduate Membership exams. In her spare time you can often find her traipsing markets and festivals, or running with her two Pomeranians.
Dr. Jacqueline
Hampton, BVSc
Dr. Jacqueline
Hampton graduated from Melbourne University in 2011. She has recently joined
the West Footscray and St.Albans Veterinary team in 2012. She enjoys practicing
small animal medicine and is really keen to further her knowledge in all
avenues of veterinary medicine and surgery. She is passionate about providing
high quality care to all animals. She loves spending time with her cat Jasper.
Sondhya Basak,BVSc
Sondhya moved with her partner to Melbourne from the UK in 2004 to study veterinary science, graduating in 2008 from Melbourne university. Â She has worked in both general practice and emergency medicine and has recently started working at the St Albans and West Footscray veterinary clinics. Â Sondhya and her partner have two dogs Tammy and Tess and a cat called Daisy. Â More often than not there are also other furry residents to keep them company as she fosters both dogs and kittens and on occasion will take temporary care of wildlife.
Alessandra Wills
Ally started her veterinary nursing career with us in Feb 2009. She volunteered at the practice while completing her certificate IV in veterinary nursing and now she is a fulltime employee at the clinic. Ally particularly enjoys patient care and monitoring of hospital patients. She ensures that the animals time at the practice is as pleasant as possible and ensures they are receiving the best care and treatment. Ally is the proud owner of two dogs, Bear and Eddie. Bear was adopted by Ally in 2010 after he was hit by a car and abandoned at the clinic. Alessandra looks forward to furthering her career in the veterinary industry and implementing everything she learns in her everyday practice.
Alicia
Alicia is a qualified Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse and has been nursing since 2007. She is very passionate about her career. She has completed her microchipping course and is currently studying a Delta Society course in Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services specialising in animal behaviour and training. She will finish the course in 2013. She is passionate about animal behaviour and has been training her own dogs for over ten years. Alicia enjoys running the Puppy Preschool at St.Albans Veterinary clinic and working with the puppies and their owners. She has her own Maltese dog called Mya who enjoys participating in her puppy classes. Mya likes demonstrating commands and tricks. Alicia also has two cats called Jinx and Cleo.
Roslyn Fraser
Roslyn has been working in the veterinary industry since 1991 and has an in depth knowledge of animal reproduction as she breeds Griffons, Chihuahuas and Birman cats. Roslyn is great with our senior clients who have been coming to West Footscray and St.Albans Veterinary clinics over the many years. She has great cat handling skills and is always finding homes for stray and unwanted animals.
Nathalie Reyes-Montalvo
Nathalie has been a veterinary nurse since 2007. She has completed a Degree in Environmental Science (Conservation Ecology) at Deakin University in 2007 and for her work placement she volunteered at the RSPCA in Burwood. Finding her passion in life was to work with dogs and cats she then completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at Victoria University. She enjoys helping vets with surgery and hospital cases and she is a registered microchip implanter. She continually seeks any opportunity for continuing education in veterinary nursing and at the moment she is completing a Diplomaof Veterinary Nursing (General Practice) at Box Hill Institute. She has also done work experience at Advanced Vetcare with Dr. Sam Snelling and his team in 2010. She enjoys working with owners and their animal companions and has a strong interest in animal health care, customer service and surgical nursing procedures.
Leanne Vallone
Leanne Vallone has been a vet nurse since 2000 and has completed her Diploma in Applied Science (Animal technology).Leanne has good knowledge of the clinic business, has good rapport with clients and has excellent communication and customer service skills. She enjoys helping vets with surgical procedures and anaesthesia. She strives to keep her veterinary skills updated and enjoys working in a busy clinic.
Marni Gunther
Marni joined our nursing staff in May 2012 and has completed the Diploma of Animal Technology. She has a keen interest in small animal care and enjoys all aspects of nursing including customer service, patient care and surgical procedures. Marni volunteers at Stafford Rescue Victoria in her spare time and looks forward to furthering her knowledge and experience in the veterinary industry.
